Well, it seems I have some good news.
My grandmother has been released from the hospital. The docs say she was freaking out as a side-effect of the kidney problems, and she'll be back to normal soon. (Granted, normal for her is still a bit loopy, but I can't complain...) She'll be staying at our house for awhile, so once again, I'm out of a room. (Any time we have guests, they get my room, and I get the sofa. I don't care, though - we have a comfy sofa.) As for her cancer, the doctors said they'd do some tests in a few weeks. I have to wonder though why you'd put of testing for a few weeks when they made it seem like it so serious to begin with. Oh well, doctors aren't my favorite people, for several reasons. I don't hate them or anything, but I'm not exactly trusting of most of them...
Lets see, what else is going on in my life? Oh right, I get to go to my girlfriend's Homecoming dance tommorrow! Woohoo! Once again I'm left wondering though, since the dance doesn't start until 10 and doesn't end until 1. AM, to clarify. I guess thats normal... My school just never allowed such things. Dances started at 9, and ended at 11, and we only got two dances a year. They were also heavily regulated - if you weren't wearing dress clothes or an expensive dress, you weren't allowed in. Apparently, you can wear jeans to her school's dances. Why am I babbling about clothes at school functions, anyway?
So yeah, I'm going home tommorrow, and hopefully I'll get to hang out with my girlfriend before she has to go home and get ready. Then we're going out to eat with some friends, and then its off to the dance! And out of my comfort zone, if what she's told me about their dances turns out to be true... Oh well, I get to spend most of the day with my girlfriend, so I honestly cannot complain. :D
As for the rest of the weekend, I have some friends coming over Saturday, church Sunday morning, and then its back here to MC for me! Huzzah? And is it sad that I call my dorm "home" more often than my own house? Hah hah...
Thanks for reading! Tune in next week for more mindless ramblings from yours truly...

It's good your grandmother is doing better. My grandfather had cancer, and it's not fun at all to deal with.
I am glad your grandmother is doing better. God answers prayers; not always in the way we want. I hope you had fun at the dance and hanging out with your girlfriend.
I'm glad to read about your grandma.
Interestingly, I got somehow the same feeling like you about doctors. We expect so much from them and sometimes something like "gods in white" ... but they aren't able to do miracles, right?
About calling the dorm your home - you could be glad cause it means that you're almost settled for the upcoming 4 years :-) Congratulations!
